Random, Inspiring Quote

I am reading a book by Brian McLaren titled Everything Must Change- great book (which I am madly trying to finish before I go because it is a library book) and it quoted this quote by Mohandas Ghandi

The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problems

It made me pause to think how my actions in my day to day rituals go unchallenged because they are 'normal' but what if those actions are effecting someone or something beyond me? What if changing one of them would change the life of someone else or make something better in the world? What if?

  1. Wow - you could really go deep with that one! Just watch out though because you can end up paralyzing yourself by getting too introspective. On the other hand, looking beyond what is "normal" for the effect of our lives can make us take more notice of others we are in contact with on a daily basis. Certainly a worthwhile question to ponder.
